Suzuki Performances Winter/Spring 2014

Important performance dates for this semester:

*NEW* Music School Open House: Monday, Feb. 24, 5:30pm. We will be playing music from the Suzuki Day review list.

Suzuki Day: Saturday, March 29 all day! The review list is on my blog. No regular private lessons earlier that week. We may have make-ups.

*NEW* Brandywine Hundred Library Story Time performance: Tuesday, April 22, 10am. This is during the school’s spring break, but we have been invited to perform on this date. I think it would be fun, and great exposure for Suzuki cello. We can help make our own program, so let me know ASAP if you are interested and available.

Achievement Week/Graduation auditions: May 5-10 Schedule TBA. No regular lessons. Graduation forms are due March 1.

Graduation Recital/Group performance: Sunday, June 8 12 noon. Along with the graduation pieces, we will be playing Yankee Doodle and La Valencianita as a group, even if you are not graduating!

Rehearsal will be Sat. Nov. 23 from 1:30pm-3:00pm (For Suzuki students, that is immediately following Harvest Concert dress rehearsal and will be in the same room – 124.)

The performance is Friday, Dec. 6 from 6-7pm at the Clay Studio. The address is on the repertoire sheet.

They will have pizza and sodas for the students.

For Delaware families, I strongly suggest we carpool. My contact at The Clay Studio suggested we arrive before 5 because of the parking situation, so we would try to leave Wilmington by 4:15. I can drive some students, if it helps. We can make plans at the rehearsal.
